Enable a text box to appear in the Task List and KANBAN board to directly seach the Task Title or an Owner. - Jira does that very well. So typing any text contained inside a Title or an Owner filters the list.
This feature is very handy when taking updates in daily standups. Just type in the resource name. Ex: "Par" filters tasks (Tushar Parmar) with the resource name(s) that have these characters.
