Currently, if a user forgets to switch off a timer, it continues to run indefinitely. There’s no central way to see which timers are currently running. This creates confusion and the risk of inaccurate time tracking.
Impact:
Tasks may get logged with unrealistic durations.
Users may waste time manually checking each task to see if a timer is active.
Reduces trust in the accuracy of reports and billing (if tied to clients).
Suggested Feature:
Introduce a “Running Timers Dashboard” (or status panel) where users can:
See all currently active timers in one view.
Pause/stop timers directly from this panel.
Optionally receive alerts (e.g., “Timer running for 3+ hrs, are you still working?”).
Benefit:
More control and visibility for users.
Prevents accidental overlogging of hours.
Improves user experience and accuracy of time tracking.
